Assignment

Skyspace installation in Øystese, Hardanger, Western Norway.

Client

Kunsthuset Kabuso

Year

2016

Main contractor: Voss Bygg- og landskap.

Hardanger Skyspace is an installation by the American artist James Turrell, acquired by Kunsthuset Kabuso. We carried out project management, production and building of the installation, which is made up of a series of stacked semicircles.

The roof consists of one whole element with an oval opening in the middle, where the view of the sky can interplay with the thousands of hidden LED lights mounted on the inside.

Words don't do this installation justice – it has to be experienced!

We received "Betongtavlen 2017 – Honorable Mention" for this project.
